AI and Data Disclaimer
Effective June 9, 2026 · Last updated October 23, 2026
Truseta uses artificial intelligence throughout the product. AI can be wrong, and it is wrong with confidence. Nothing Truseta or its AI assistant Quinn shows you is financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting or estate advice, and no figure in the product is a valuation, an appraisal or an audited number. Your information is processed by third-party AI providers to deliver these features. Verify anything that matters with your own licensed advisers before you act on it.
1The short version
- Truseta is a software tool for organizing and tracking financial information. It is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank, custodian, accountant, law firm or fiduciary, and it does not hold or move money.
- Quinn and every other AI feature generate output with large language models. That output can be incomplete, outdated, misread, miscalculated or simply invented, and no person at Truseta reviews it before you see it.
- Net worth, returns, IRR, MOIC, private-equity scenarios, tax estimates and every other figure are arithmetic on the data you entered and the data your connected institutions supplied. They are not valuations, appraisals, tax positions or audited results.
- To deliver AI features, parts of your data (your questions, relevant portfolio context, and documents or messages you ask the product to read) are sent to third-party AI providers under agreements that prohibit training on your data.
- Nothing in the product is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, file, elect, gift or do anything. Decisions are yours, made with your own advisers.
2Truseta is software, not an adviser
Truseta Corporation is not registered as an investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or any state law, is not a broker-dealer, bank, trust company, custodian, insurance company, tax preparer, accountant or law firm, and does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting or estate-planning advice to anyone.
Using Truseta does not create a fiduciary, advisory, attorney-client, accountant-client or any other professional relationship between you and Truseta. The product does not know your full circumstances, goals, risk tolerance, tax situation or legal constraints, and it does not monitor your accounts for suitability. It organizes what you and your institutions put into it.
3Where artificial intelligence is used
Artificial intelligence is used, or can be turned on, in these parts of the product:
- Quinn, the assistant: answers questions, summarizes, drafts notes and emails for your review, and surfaces items that may need attention, using your workspace data as context.
- Document reading: K-1s, 1099s, closing statements, operating agreements, tax returns and other documents you upload, link or scan are read by AI to extract names, amounts, dates, owners and percentages into the product, including in the setup wizard.
- Private-equity intelligence: funds and portfolio companies are periodically re-read and re-evaluated by AI, producing signals, risk flags, scenario valuations and commentary.
- Wealth Digest and other emails: AI-written summaries of what moved and what needs attention.
- K-1 portal and email detection: AI and rules identify notices and documents in mail you have connected.
- Suggestions: entity details, categories, matches and classifications proposed for you to confirm.
- Bring-your-own AI: if you connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to your workspace, that assistant reads your data through the permissions you grant, under its own provider’s terms.
Most of these features are optional and can be left off or disconnected in Settings. The product remains usable without them.
4AI makes mistakes
Large language models produce text that reads as confident whether or not it is correct. AI output in Truseta may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, internally inconsistent, mis-attributed or entirely fabricated, and may misread a document, drop a digit, confuse two entities, apply the wrong year, or miss something important.
- No human at Truseta reviews AI output before you see it, and it is not verified against your custodians, your filings or your advisers.
- AI output reflects the data available to it at that moment. Delayed feeds, stale prices, disconnected accounts and missing documents produce confident but wrong answers.
- Models change. The same question can produce a different answer on a different day, and a model update can change behaviour without notice.
- Extraction from documents can be wrong. Always compare extracted figures against the source document before relying on them.
- AI does not know the law, the tax code or your circumstances as a professional does. It can describe general concepts; it cannot advise you.
Treat every AI answer as a draft to be checked, never as a conclusion.
5Your information and AI providers
To produce AI features, Truseta sends parts of your information to third-party AI providers for processing. By default that provider is Anthropic (the Claude models). If your workspace chooses another provider in Settings, such as OpenAI or xAI, or enables voice through ElevenLabs, that provider processes the relevant data instead or in addition. If you connect your own Claude or ChatGPT account to the workspace, your data flows to that provider under your own agreement with them.
What is sent
- Your questions to Quinn and the conversation so far
- Relevant workspace context: holdings, balances, entities, deadlines, notes and similar data needed to answer
- Documents, emails and files you ask the product to read, extract from or scan, including scheduled private-investment scans when that feature is on
- Data the product summarizes for emails and digests you have enabled
What is not done with it
- Our agreements with the AI providers we contract with prohibit them from using your data to train their models. Truseta does not train models on your data either.
- Your data is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used for advertising.
- Providers you connect yourself (bring-your-own AI) are governed by your own terms with them, which Truseta does not control.
What is kept
Quinn conversations and AI-generated summaries, signals and extracted values are stored in your workspace so you can see where a figure came from, until you delete them or close your account. Providers may retain inputs briefly for abuse monitoring under their own policies. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
How to limit it
You can leave AI features off, disconnect mail and document stores, turn off private-investment intelligence and digests, and remove bring-your-own AI connectors in Settings. Turning these off removes the features that depend on them.
6Figures are calculations, not valuations
Every number in Truseta is the result of arithmetic on inputs: what you entered, what your connected institutions reported, public market prices, exchange rates and the assumptions you or the product chose. None of it is a valuation, an appraisal, a fairness opinion, a tax position, a filing or an audited figure.
- Net worth, allocations and performance depend on feeds that can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, on manual entries that may be stale, and on prices that move.
- Private-equity figures use the scenario you selected (cost basis, conservative, base or best case) and AI-produced estimates. They are illustrations of possible outcomes, not marks, and can differ materially from a fund’s own reporting or a realized result.
- IRR, MOIC, realized gains and cost basis are computed from the transactions and dates available to the product; missing or mis-dated items change the result.
- Tax, estimated-payment, gift-tax and K-1 figures are tracking aids. They are not tax advice and are not a substitute for a return prepared by a professional.
- Crypto, metals and foreign-currency values use third-party price sources that can lag or fail.
7No reliance; verify with licensed professionals
You agree not to rely on Truseta, Quinn or any AI feature as the basis for any financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, estate or business decision. Confirm anything that matters with your own licensed financial adviser, CPA, attorney or other professional, and with the institution that holds the asset, before you act.
Where the product drafts something for you, a note to your CPA, an email to a fund manager, a journal entry, a filing checklist, it is a draft for your review. Nothing is sent, filed or changed without your action, and you are responsible for what you send, file or change.
8Your decisions are yours
Nothing in the product is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, fund, property, currency or other asset, to make or forgo any election, gift, filing or payment, or to engage any adviser. Any decision you make after using the product, and its consequences, are yours. Past performance shown in the product, whether of a market, a fund or your own portfolio, does not predict future results.
9Limits of our responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Truseta is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on AI output, calculations, extracted data, third-party feeds or any other information in the product, or from decisions made with it. The disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability and other protective terms in the Terms of Service apply to everything described here and are part of the basis on which the product is offered.
10Changes and contact
We may update this disclaimer as the product and the models behind it change. The current version and its date appear at the top of this page, and material changes are handled as described in the Terms. Questions: legal@truseta.com.
